We opened our Eugene location in 2000.  Our store is located on just South of Downtown and is easily accessible from all areas.  The Wireless Source is locally owned and operated and we believe that we have a social responsibility to support the various civic and charitable organizations in our local area.

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska,  Cindy  gleaned the traditional hardworking values from her parents. Following in their footsteps,  she took her first real job at the age of 15, in what was then a regional grocery chain by the name of Hinky Dinky.  That position later helped Cindy launch her career with Lorillard tobacco. While she found her position with Lorillard both rewarding and challenging,  she realized the tobacco industry was about to take an enormous turn. For that reason, Cindy made the decision to resign her position. Shortly thereafter, she found Oregon.

Upon arriving in Eugene, Cindy accepted a position in the wireless industry, selling for, and subsequently mananing Kendall Cellular.  Realizing almost immediately that this was the right decision, she dug in firmly.  It was the excitement of the ever changing wireless industry that caught her attention.  After several years in the industry, her passion for wanting something of her own, coupled with the encouragement of her family, lead her in the direction of starting The Wireless Source. To Cindy, the Wireless Source is pride: Pride in doing what’s best for the customer, what’s best for our team, and what’s best for our community.  Cindy is thankful to be surrounded by Team Wireless Source, the most qualified and knowledgeable team possible, and waking up after 20 years still loving what she does .

The Wireless Source is consuming, but Cindy makes time for the things she enjoys the most; her family and friends. When not busy at work, you will most likely find Cindy working hard supporting children in need, donating her time for those less fortunate, searching for the next amazing recipe, running, traveling, or chasing the next sunset.

Born on the foggy Northern California Coast, Hamlin found herself in the sometimes sunny Eugene to attend the University of Oregon and graduate with a business degree.  She began life after college at a Courtsports Athletic Club as the Sales Director.  After a few years there, she moved on to a local Credit Union as the Marketing Coordinator.  While at Oregon Metro FCU, she was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and finally to Executive Vice President. 

After six years at the Credit Union, Hamlin was looking for a personal challenge.  She left that position 18 years ago to begin a new venture with a friend and associate, Cindy Pedersen.  Their company, The Wireless Source has been successful for over 18 years and counting.  The ever changing world of the cellular industry makes The Wireless Source an exciting and fulfilling career.  Although Hamlin is kept busy focusing on the operation of the company, she still enjoys working directly with many of her loyal business and individual customers.   

Hamlin played a few years of college basketball and is a Hall of Famer at The College of the Redwoods.  She is a big sports enthusiast & Duck Fan, enjoys golf (despite the double digit handicap) , cooking and traveling.  But her true joy comes from spending time with her two children, her husband and her large extended family.  

Melody West , Store Manager

Melody West is a native Oregonian. She was born and raised in the Eugene/Springfield area. Melody started her working career at Starbucks where gained a wealth of customer service experience and was promoted to supervisor, before she joined The Wireless Source in 2007. Over her tenure here, she has held a variety of positions. Melody was promoted to our Operations Manager in 2011. In 2014 Melody was promoted to the Eugene Store Manager.

In her off time, Melody enjoys singing, working with the youth and spoiling her five pound dog, Penny.

Melody’s goal is to continue to educate and train our staff on the ever-changing industry, so that she can be an expert for her clients and a resource for employees.

The Phone Suit , Mascot

The Wireless Source’s dedicated mascot is always there for our team.  When we’re busy he’ll help with programming.  Plus he’s the first one to pick up a phone.

Community Involvement
The Child Center

The Child Center is a non-profit human services agency offering a continuum of intensive community-based psychiatric treatment programs and support services for children with serious mental, emotional and behavioral disorders and their families. The Child Center is certified to provide both a Community Mental Health Treatment Services for Children (Outpatient) and Intensive Mental Health Treatment Services (ITS).

Food for Lane County

Food for Lane County accomplishes their mission by soliciting, collecting, rescuing, growing, preparing and packaging food for distribution through a countywide network of social service agencies and programs; and through public awareness, education and community advocacy.

Birth to Three

Birth to Three's programs and services are for all families in our community who have infants and young children.

Children’s Miracle Network

Children's Miracle Network (CMN) was established nationally in 1983 to help children by actively supporting improved health care for millions of young people around the world. CMN's mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals, now numbering more than 170 nationwide.
